Who may come
Those who undertake the training: precepts kept, speech reduced, a willingness to be ordinary and unseen. Monastics and serious lay practitioners.
Forthcoming
ABHĀṢITHA is preparing a ten-acre land as a place of practice. It is not a visitor park, a wedding lawn, or a content studio. Those who come will come to sit.
The rule of the place
The founder’s instruction is simple: the land is for meditators only. That sentence is the architecture. Everything else — kutis, paths, a small hall, a well, a kitchen — exists to protect silence, precepts, and time.
Those who undertake the training: precepts kept, speech reduced, a willingness to be ordinary and unseen. Monastics and serious lay practitioners.
Sightseers, film crews, casual day-trippers, and anyone arriving to collect photographs of a “forest experience.”
Seclusion, walking paths, simple dwellings, and enough order that the mind is not managing a resort.
Present stage
This page announces the work. Exact location, maps, and visiting dates will be published only when the land can receive people without breaking its purpose.
If you wish to support the founding — land, timber, wells, kutis, or the quiet labour of keeping a place — write with clarity. Praise is not needed. Practical help is.
Write about the landA monastery is not proven by acreage.
It is proven by the people it refuses to entertain.
When the gate opens
Eight precepts as the ordinary standard. Noble silence outside necessary speech. No devices in the walking areas. No livestreams from the kutis.
The place will run on Dhamma-dāna and simple work. Those who stay should expect to help keep the ground, not to be hosted like guests of a lodge.
Not open yet
The land cannot receive anyone now. A request is kept only as a letter to contact@abhasitha.com. It is not a booking.
